  • Has 44 years of combined business experience, including 10 years with Arthur Andersen in Washington, D.C. and Italy and 10 years as the CFO of public and private high technology companies.
  • Has served on the Boards of Directors and Advisors of 30 companies, where he has chaired Audit and Compensation Committees 
  • Authored "Ask Mike", an entrepreneurs' guide to finance.
  • Publishes an email newsletter for non-financial senior executive management

Professional Affiliations

  • Was a member of the American Institute of CPA's for 41 years
  • Was a founding member of E-dinner, a monthly dinner forum where entrepreneurs discussed starting, running and growing businesses
  • Was the first financial sponsor of Dartmouth College's Greener Ventures' Conferences on Entrepreneurship, the first financial sponsor of the Dartmouth Club of Boston's Entrepreneurs' Conference and a financial sponsor of the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Society's business plan competition
  • Is the Treasurer of the Dartmouth College Class of 1965, represents the Class Treasurers' Association on the College's Alumni Council and has previously been the Class of 1965's webmaster, Vice President and Projects Chair

Running

  • Has run 20 marathons (3:07 PR), including 9 Boston Marathons, all as a qualifier
  • Qualified for Boston 2012 by running a 3:58 in the Lehigh Valley Marathon: due to the heat in the 2012 Boston marathon, elected to defer Boston until 2013
  • Has run 9 of the previous 10 Mount Washington Road Races
  • In 2007 was the Xterra National Trail Running Champion in his age group
  • Earned "mountain goat" designation by completing the USATF New England Mountain running circuit (6 mountain races) in 2007, placing 3rd in his age group in the circuit
  • Has run in the last 6 USA Mountain Running Championships, finishing 3rd in his age group at Mount Cranmore in 2011, 4th at Cranmore in 2007 and 5th at Mount Washington in 2006
  • Was on the team that won its age group at the BAA Half Marathon and was second at the New Bedford Half Marathon, both in 2004
  • Has run other major races, including the 5th Avenue Mile and Beach to Beacon
