Professional Affiliations

  • Was a member of the American Institute of CPA's for 41 years
  • Was a founding member of E-dinner, a monthly dinner forum where entrepreneurs discussed starting, running and growing businesses
  • Was the first financial sponsor of Dartmouth College's Greener Ventures' Conferences on Entrepreneurship, the first financial sponsor of the Dartmouth Club of Boston's Entrepreneurs' Conference and a financial sponsor of the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Society's business plan competition
  • Is the Treasurer of the Dartmouth College Class of 1965, represents the Class Treasurers' Association on the College's Alumni Council where he chairs the Honorary Degrees Committee. He has previously been the Class of 1965's webmaster, Vice President and Projects Chair
  • Co-founded Financial Strategies Group, which invited speakers to discuss "hot topics" at its monthly breakfast meetings

Personal

Running

  • Has run 21 marathons (3:07 PR), including 10 Boston Marathons, all as a qualifier
  • Has run the Mount Washington Road Race 11 times, finishing 2nd in his age group in 2013
  • In 2007 was the Xterra National Trail Running Champion in his age group
  • Earned "mountain goat" designation by completing the USATF New England Mountain running circuit in 2013, placing 2nd in his age group, and in 2007, placing 3rd in his age group
  • Has run in the last 8 USA Mountain Running Championships, finishing 2nd in his age group at Mount Cranmore in 2013, 3rd in 2011 and 4th in 2007
  • Was on the team that won its age group at the BAA Half Marathon and was second at the New Bedford Half Marathon, both in 2004
  • Has run other major races, including the 5th Avenue Mile and Beach to Beacon
